This spring I bought Janet a Tivoli radio. It is a small square device wit simple tuning knob, it is rechargeable though which is interesting and it does have an input jack. There is no tone control but the sound is quite good, is designed to be weather resistant.
The radio is about four inches square and about 8 inches high. Although the sound is remarkably good for a small radio, clearly not stereo, the volume isn't particularly strong which is interesting for a device intended for poolside listening. Indoors though it is quite adequate. ----- Original Message ----- From: Claudia To: [email protected] Sent: Tuesday, September 01, 2009 3:39 AM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] Bose Other ideas, then, on very small compact systems with good sound? Looking for something to put in my kitchen, to jam with, while cooking, cleaning up, etc. Claudia ----- Original Message ----- From: Max Robinson To: [email protected] Sent: Monday, August 31, 2009 11:20 PM Subject: Re: [BlindHandyMan] Bose For the most part they are over rated. They may sound good on a certain song which was used to demonstrate them but overall they don't really sound that good. Regards. Max. K 4 O D S.
