Al, I just did this same thing recently. You won't like my answer though. I tacked a block to the scrap side of the molding, to help me keep a hand saw nice and square. I then, very laboriously, slowly, sawed through it by hand. You have to keep the saw parallel to the wall and it is very tedious, but that is how I did it. I am sure there are other ways but you'll need more tools. *GRIN*
