Tom, I can remember my first Hilti.  It had a plastic belt with the shots 
inserted in it.  Place a nail in the head and punch it tight to the surface you 
wanted to nail and it fired.  I never used mine on concrete, only steel I 
beams.  Those nails never came out.  You did however have to pick the correct 
shot for the material you wanted to nail together.  Too little and it would be 
loose and to much, it would shoot all the way thru and into whatever was there 
in its way.
