Hey all, having been warned before not to post links like
this: http://www3.xfreehosting.com/teen/ffoog/98/snow.htm I will not do
such a thing, however, In the interests of tire research, I feel compelled
to tell all of you not to visit this website, as there is adult content,
nakedly couched as a snowtire demonstration. Specifically, this
picture, http://www3.xfreehosting.com/teen/ffoog/98/20.jpgwhich you
should not view, even if you are over eighteen years old and not offended by
studded tires and naked women, and BMW's sans bras. Or maybe only if you
are a stud, and offended by women with bras, and naked BMWS. Or maybe a
naked stud, with a BMW, and no naked women(AS IF!)

For the good of the group I implore you all not to look. I know that I
have never visited this site, and I would not want anyone else to look at
such a thing either.

David Leonard

Oops, the second link, which I posted but have never seen, does not seem to
go to the right site. Apologies all, who may have not looked
either. http://www3.xfreehosting.com/teen/ffoog/98/20.jpg

I think this is the one I meant for everyone not to look at. I think the
word 'which' got sucked (no pun intended) into the link, by mistake, of cours..
I just want to make it clear that under no circumstnaces, should anyone
click on these disgusting, impure links.

happy New Year!
David

I think there's a least one person on list with a Range Rover, so I'm
hoping for some advice:

Thinking about a Range Rover (previous generation model, something in
the 1997-1999 model years) as tow vehicle (part of a potential club
racer project) and winter transportation.

Any comments re suitability for application, 4.0 vs. 4.6 engine, and
anything specific to look out for on R-R's of this vintage? Also,
referrals to good Internet resources (equivalent to the UUC digest)?

TIA,

My 94 325isa blew water pump in 99 around 50K miles. I shut it down
immediatly after watching plastic fan blade parts in the rear view mirror.
no dammage! got a new pump fan and radiator covered by warranty! old fan
clutch was reinstalled. dealer sent flatbed out. the mechanic said that
this engine is very durable and i could have made it home with out damaging
the engine about 2 miles about a year later the clutch bearings went out.
had overheat again had to purhase new fan clutch. 2000 Radiator neck blow
out at around 60Kagain drove about 3 miles each time at 45 to 50 miles per
hour till and did a shut down till cool for a 3 times without engine damage
.

This car is still doing well with close to 100,000 miles. my only problems
now are headliner droopsy door panel vinyl shrinkage occasional brake light
checks "only when the MTX BASS is up" and loss of the temperature button on
OBC from overuse. also the bong sound from OBC warning has not gonged in
almost 3-4 years. I don't really miss that.

ps A retired metalurgist from Germany told me that the metal from german
steel is more compact (with lower voids) and makes for better knives and
engines. or maybe this is just a tale for nationalism for his country

Hey guys if you want to start racing and don't want to spend all your budget
on a suit here is a good deal. This is my single layer suit that I used
when I raced formula ford for three years and comes with Nomex underwear
(including socks and balaclava(?) (hood sock)

Size large and in good shape. Not beautiful but will get you in the show!
First $100.00+ shipping cost gets it. P.S. if you buy the suit I will tell
you how I didn't have to spend big bucks on shoes and was legit:)

Thanks for the slightly 0T post:)
