I want to check the power and other connections to make sure all is in working order before I rip out the factory head unit for something that can actually get some reception. -Steve ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 6 Jul 2004 20:06:05 -0500 From: "Karl Zemlin" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: E34 Touring Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Hmmm - I've been fairly pleased with the reception in my E34 touring / factory radio. Don't know where the goodies are you speak of, but I DO know there is a power amp on the other side of the steel panel where the CD changer mounts. Maybe if I had looked a little harder I would have seen some other stuff. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of Steve Nash Sent: Tuesday, July 06, 2004 10:10 AM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [UUC] E34 Touring Can anyone tell where and how to get to the antenna amp for the radio in an E34 Touring? I thought you all might enjoy the below from Sunday's NYT. But I must admit my Bimmer is quieter than a subway. http://www.nytimes.com/2004/07/04/business/yourmoney/04digi.html Carl ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 6 Jul 2004 17:34:29 -0500 From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Cc: "Ryan Brenneman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: 5mph rear end coll. on E36 Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> "Ryan Brenneman" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > My brother was hit at about 5mph in his 95 E36. If, by some miracle, the hit was so mild that they did not compress (the rear bumper is in _perfect_ alignment in the back and on the sides), then there is nothing to talk about. OTOH, if any of the side bumper extensions are 'sagging' or one corners of the bumpers is pushed in more than the other, your brother is in the market for new bumper shocks (not inexpensive). alex f ------------------------------ Date: Tue, 6 Jul 2004 18:31:59 -0400 From: "Bill P" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "E36M3" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "UUC" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "Big Boost Gruppe" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Fuel Pressure Regulator Help Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> I need to but a remote adjustable fuel pressure regulator for my M3. Does anyone yet know if this will be a DIY install, or will it require dealer magic? John ------------------------------ Date: Wed, 7 Jul 2004 00:56:22 -0400 From: "Rich Dorffer" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Headlight Bulb Group Buy Message-ID: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Recently, there was mention of safely modifying 9011 (HR1) and 9012 (HR2) bulbs for use in applications that presently call for 9005 (HB3) and 9006 (HB4) bulbs, respectively, on the UUC Digest and with this link: http://www.bmwz.org/articles/lighting/0506trick/ I have put together a "Group Buy" with Daniel Stern in order to provide this affordable and unique lighting upgrade. We are looking to put together a group buy primarily for 9011 (HR1) and 9012 (HR2) bulbs for ~$28 (normally $39 each or more). In addition, other bulbs will be offered as well as other lamps that you might be interested in at a discount. At a minimum, you will be able to add other regular priced goods to your order to take advantage of shipping one order. This group buy is being conducted through Daniel Stern of Candlepower, Inc. and Daniel Stern Lighting. We are looking to put together approximately forty-five (45) orders of at least two bulbs each. There will potentially be some flexibility to this if people purchase more items or larger orders. All the detailed group buy information is located here: www.rdautosport.com/groupbuy.htm Please don't spread the word on this group buy unless I asked you to specifically (E34 Group) as I want to gauge the interest from certain groups first in an effort to keep this manageable. Thanks in advance. Regards, Rich ------------------------------ End of [bmwuucdigest] digest(7 messages) **********
