The feature seems to be working well, and it eliminates the gap at next-to-last
in long threads, which has caught me out in the past. But can I ask for more
consistency in page navigation links, please?

At the moment, we have:

Task lists:
- navigation displayed as links
- centered on page
- shown in both header and footer

Personal posting history, host/user statistics pages ('top participants')-
navigation displayed as links
- aligned left
- shown in footer only

Private Message inbox
- unpaged

(new style) Message boards
- navigation displayed as buttons
- aligned left
- 'previous' shown in header, 'next' shown in footer.

I think the message boards should use the 'link' style for navigation, as we do
everywhere else (reserve 'button' style for actions, like send message or post
to thread)

I'd also prefer to have both 'previous' and 'next' available in both header and
footer - and possibly that could be done on the personal posting history and
statistics pages too.
