I'm sorry Martin, I know you wrote the wiki on using .htaccess for
this purpose, but that doesn't help a novice at writing the proper
redirects in my htaccess. I've looked at a number of examples and
tutorials on writing htaccess redirects, but none of them shed light
on my scenario, so I don't know how to write it properly. And your
above reply, while appreciated, doesn't really help me; I've removed
everything from the default field and moved it to my root, so that
will be its own site, althoguh I guess, now that I'm thinking about
it, would work just as good if I put it back into a field and simply
redirect it to my domain.... heck, it would even clean up my document
tree a little me thinks.

But how do I redirect no-www's to www's? You've posted about images
and files, but what about everything else that would be in the farm
(assets) folder, such as config, backups, skins, etc? Is it possible
that maybe you take a moment to give me an example based off MY
examples above? It's not that I want you to do it, simply an example
would suffice, but I'm still slightly confused because of my non-
traditional install. Yes, I'll consider trying it with a traditional
install, but with a little instruction, I don't really see why I
couldn't get it right this time.

I appreciate you taking the time to reply however!
