The particular part that I found mean-spirited was that the original forum
post accused the person of selling the books. And the person who posted the
link to the forum here, the general tone of the whole thing just struck me
as....well, mean. They're just books. If you're getting so frustrated over
books that you lash out and sound mean--why not find a more relaxing hobby?
Why not enjoy the 'rings and 'rays that DO arrive instead of fretting over
the ones that don't? If you enjoy sharing your books, what do you care if
every one of them ends up hoarded on WW's bookshelf? Is that so much
different from a hundred wild releases that you never hear from again? I
can understand being disappointed when your book sharing hobby doesn't go
the way you intended or thought it should, I just don't see letting it make
you catty and mean about it.

Good grief, if missing a ring or a ray because someone hoards it is such a
crime" just go out and buy the darn book! Save yourself the drama. Then
again, some people need drama and I suspect that is why a lot of these
bookcrossing issues turn into a tempest in a teapot.

Well, I have to toss my hat in here. I really resent the fact that Gina
referred to this thread as being mean-spirited. I will say what everyone
else has been saying.....this isnt the first time that this has happened
with this person. There have been many incidents. It isnt the case of one or
two or even five people having a problem with WW. Many people have had
problems with her. They have tried unsuccessfuly to resolve the problem in
private. What else are people supposed to do? The people who were coming
forward were doing so to protect their fellow BX. I commend weeblet for
coming out and putting out that post. And when I read it yesterday, there
were NO personal attacks on WW. Whom I happen to know from personal
experience is a very nice and friendly person.

For those of you who are saying "poor WW"....what about "poor BX" who
unknowingly sends any known book-hoarder a book as a ring/ray/rabck? Keeping
so many books...especially rings/rays, which I think is the true crime, is
very selfish and affects a lot of other BX.

Another point that is starting to get on my nerves....is when BC people
complain about the fact that BC started out as just wild releasing. "It isnt
about rings/rays/trading/rabcks, etc." Well...I say that BC is about sharing
books and creating a community. And NO community that lasts stays static. BC
has evolved which proves that it is healthy and that is the reason why it is
thriving.

Alright......**backs away from the soap box**.......that is all I have to
say about it.
