I also don't understand why you're failing to validate. I do understand that 
there are two groups of parameters, but it isn't uncommon that 
tools/applications have different commands (e.g., svn). The execution of a 
parameter becomes dependent on the command.

4.3.1 is supposed to be a bug fix release, and I believe this is part of a new 
feature... not ideal.
