OK, so after restart of QLMS what's the last modified date/time of
server.prefs? (basically trying to ascertain if QLMS is re-instating the
same file from a backup or some where)

I'm no QLMS expert, maybe worth posting the question why your
server.prefs get altered on QLMS restart in one of Digimaster's
QLogitechMediaServer threads - he's pretty helpful and may be able to
point you in the right direction.

Other things I can think of trying... From the command line in QLMS you
can do a rollback - takes you back to your previous version of LMS,
although I'm not sure this is an LMS issue.

There's also a restore command which will restore a backup of LMS
settings and prefs... so perhaps try doing a QLMS backup with the volume
set to what you want it, then do a QLMS restore and see if that resolves
it.

Here's Digimasters write up on the QLMS command options, post #835 in
this thread:

Final option I guess would be to remove QLMS completely (make sure all
folders and files have also been cleared) then start over again - the
brutal and blunt tool, depends how complex your LMS setup is etc and how
much more time you want to invest/waste.
