Yeah, just tested on mine and server.prefs modified date/time gets updated on each start. I've checked the other volume setting in server.prefs and mine does not change when I change the volume on the Boom. Not quite sure where to go with this now, other than the previously mentioned QLMS .backup and then .restore or brute force remove qpkg and start from scratch again or try and get Digimaster's attention by posting in one of his QLogitechMediaServer threads. I've looked through a lot of LMS and QLMS files tonight and am fairly sure the volume for the player comes from server.prefs, why your setup doesn't retain the last stored volume level in server.prefs I do not know... I also cannot find anywhere in the QLMS scripts that would copy in another server.prefs - it seems to just define the location of the prefs folder, I guess it's then up to LMS to deal with the server.prefs file. Annoyingly I couldn't manually modify my server.prefs - no write permission, I think Digimaster had to do some funky stuff with ownership and permissions to get QLMS working - beyond my skills I'm afraid. In the same directory as .QLMS.conf is the QLogitechMediaServer.log - may be worth checking if anything odd is going on in there, I get about 9 lines in my uneventful starts...
