Well, I guess there's only one tried and true strategy for something
like that.
1) Sneak the changes into CVS in the middle of the night and erase all
history/remains of the old design.
2) Duck for cover.
3) Wait a long time for things to calm down.
4) Enjoy the moment, open a bottle of champagne, celebrate!
