I think that exactly Joel's point :-) You'll be happy, but someone
else will be angry.
At least you, me, and Joel will all be happy. Who else matters
anyway? ;-)
Good luck convincing me to switch to the appearance scheme formed
through such an open process ;).
I showed earlier that we don't need to convince you, it just makes it easier.

It sounds like you're saying "I demonstrated that it's okay for me to
change the presentation of Aleksey's docs without his consent." But I
hope you're not saying that, and it seems to contradict at least one
of your earlier statements. So could you clarify?

I wasn't trying to say that :-\ I was pointing out the misconception of the Aleksey, and other authors, might have of having "real" control of the style. When in reality they only have social control.

More questions...

Did not the various discussions and consensus to move to BoostBook docs imply a consent to be at the mercy of the BoostBook style?

If not, do we want to get that consensus now?

If there's no chance of getting such an agreement; Why should we bother with presenting the docs on the website at all?

Do we want to live with presenting the docs in the website with the authors style? And hence have limited potential functionality, i.e. no web notes.

What questions do we need to ask the general Boost audience? It's somewhat pointless to just ask a blind "What do you want us to do?" type of question to hundreds of people.
