hey all, if you don't know, yapc::na has asked for site proposals for 2006. a while back, sean put some effort into getting BU for yapc but that got shelved. is anyone interested in seeing if they can find a site here? we have a large active pm group so i think we could pull off yapc if we could get a decent site (fsdo decent). i am bringing this up since there haven't been any site proposals submitted yet so there will probably be little competition and we may get it. it does help that i am on the yapc site selection committee. :)
i think boston would make a great place for yapc. think about how much money you will all save by not having to travel to it! think about the local parties for a change (we know where to go!). what about showing to the other host cities how much better boston is for yapc? do you have any pride or are you just a spineless pythonista? anyhow, i am just bringing this up to start a thread so flame^Wpost away and let's see if we have the interest, leadership and resources to do this. thanx, uri -- Uri Guttman ------ [EMAIL PROTECTED] -------- http://www.stemsystems.com --Perl Consulting, Stem Development, Systems Architecture, Design and Coding- Search or Offer Perl Jobs ---------------------------- http://jobs.perl.org _______________________________________________ Boston-pm mailing list [email protected] http://mail.pm.org/mailman/listinfo/boston-pm
