I spoke to lesley.edu . Their largest theatre has 189 seats only.
The lady who helped me could not offer any other suggestions.
So I guess Lesley is out.
To make further enquiries, we (those of us who are volunteers/followers)
need to know the following information at least:
* what part of the year | June 2006
* how many days | Three days
* how many people | 300-400
* how many simultaneous tracks | three
* what equipment will be needed | whiteboards; projectors; internet access;
| phone conference lines; parking permits
The guesses after the vertical bars are derived from my fertile
imagination and second-hand info about the Toronto YAPC two months ago.
Also, rather than several of us making independent and overlapping and
inconsistent enquiries, I suggest that we form a small exploratory
committee. I volunteer for the committee, obviously.
We can have an email discussion within the committee for how to go
about our initial enquiries. (This way we won't spam the rest of the group.
We can send out weekly or semi-monthly updates to the whole group.)
