I was with a different ISP when I was using dial-up so everything is different.

I am able to enter in all of my information, but when I try to send a message which is in my outbox, I get an error that says something about authentication. I have tried setting that option to "yes", but it didn't help. The only thing I haven't tried is the dots 4, 5, and 6 reset. I kind of gave up for a while and fixed dinner.

Hi Karen,

You didn't say just what's happening when you try to set up your email. Are you able to enter the information in the directory of accounts okay? If you have an entry for verizon which you used with dialup, you should be able to use that provided your user name, password, and email address are the same.

Wouldn't think the pop and smtp servers would change.

I can use my same directory of accounts entry whether I use dialup or dsl or whatever.

Maybe Verizon is different, but wouldn't think so.

If you're getting the 10022 or possibly the 10060 error messages, you might try a reset and reconnect to your network and stry to access your email again. You might even go so far as to try a 4 5 6 reset before attempting to connect again.
