I think you just had a bad experience; the guy I talked to seemed pretty
open to the idea of makign trial units available.

1. Does the Mpower support the traveler floppy drive which worked in

2. Why are there no "trial" units? When I wanted to purchase a
versabraille from Telesensory Systems years ago, they let me borrow a
versabraille for a whole week! that was more than enough time for me to
decide whether I could use the unit. I recently spoke with a vendor about
another product and I asked if there were demo units. The answer was an
emphatic "YES!!!" Now I didn't borrow the unit because I am not serious
about purchasing it presently. I only ask to demo something that I may
recommend for someone else or that I may buy for myself. the guy that I
asked about this was downright unfriendly. This is a Humanware employee.
Oh, well, I won't be recommending the Mpower for my client.

Note Mpower The most recent example, is the person who
asked about being able to pause a recording, and
resume in the same file. The answer was no, but that a
new file could be created. This could have just been
an idle question, but it is something which would be a
usable feature for people to have. There was no
promise to look into it farther. I realize that this
unit is new, and therefore, a lot of improvement is to
be had. It will not be perfect, but taking suggestions
or questions from users seriously, instead of
deflecting them with a band-aid-like solution is quite
discouraging.
