I say "Amen" to all Bob commented on regarding the BN. Although I have
a PC at work, and a PC at home, I find myself using a PDA much more as I
need to keep more and more personal records. I'm hard on my shoes, and
equally hard on my PDA -- especially when it comes to expectation.

When I get my Empower (I think it's on back order) I know that it'll
serve me well, and if it has a problem, I let Humanware know.

Remember that what you say will influence perspective buyers of
equipment, and that's why I think the list is so valuable.

Subject: [Braillenote] Recent comments

Hi, folks: I've read some recent comments on this list, which
seem to imply that anyone who strictly use a BN, and not a PC, is
foolish. Well, I don't mean to be rude, but I think those
comments are insensitive and elitist. I'm sorry, but not
everyone, for various reasons, has a lot of adaptive equipment.
We usually get one or two shots at the brass ring in a lifetime.
Many of us have chosen the BN, because of its portability, and
because of its functionality. To us, it's more than just aa neat
little tool; it's everything. People who seem to say that we're
wrong to expect a lot out of it are wrong and mis-informed. The
fact is, we know exactly what to expect, and Humanware agrees
with our high expectations. That's why they came out with the
M-power. Those of you who have a number of pieces of equipment
should thank God you have them, and not look down your noses at
those of us who don't. By the way, this absolutely does not
apply to most on this list; just a couple. Comments like the
ones I read earlier make me want to unsubscribe. But, I won't.
We're all in the same boat on this list, and we shouldn't even
imply that folks who don't have as much equipment are somehow
inferior. If I'm over-reacting, I'm sorry. God bless. Bob and
Maxy-wax
