Dear Bob, You are exactly right. I own both a PC and a BN and I hope Humanware will keep on improving the BN so I can use it more and more and the PC less and less.
I am concerned about the fact that people who depend solely on the BN will be up a creek without a paddle when their BN is being cleaned and/or repaired. I have always believed in having a backup system for equipment which I use daily. I don't know what the answer is unless Humanware would institute a loaner program for those who depend upon their BN as their sole computer device and deaf-blind people should have a priority for such loaners over blind BN users. Perhaps some of those old classics traded in for MP transplants could be used. Terri, Amateur Radio call sign KF6CA. Well, I don't mean to be rude, but I think those : comments are insensitive and elitist. I'm sorry, but not : everyone, for various reasons, has a lot of adaptive equipment. : We usually get one or two shots at the brass ring in a lifetime. : Many of us have chosen the BN, because of its portability, and : because of its functionality. To us, it's more than just aa neat : little tool; it's everything. People who seem to say that we're : wrong to expect a lot out of it are wrong and mis-informed. The : fact is, we know exactly what to expect, and Humanware agrees : with our high expectations. That's why they came out with the : M-power. Those of you who have a number of pieces of equipment : should thank God you have them, and not look down your noses at : those of us who don't. By the way, this absolutely does not : apply to most on this list; just a couple. Comments like the : ones I read earlier make me want to unsubscribe. But, I won't. : We're all in the same boat on this list, and we shouldn't even : imply that folks who don't have as much equipment are somehow : inferior. If I'm over-reacting, I'm sorry. God bless.
