Hi.
1 There is native bluetooth support in Win XP SP2 but no support for audio
gateway or headset profiles.
2 Using the native Win XP bluetooth stack, I could get the PK to work as a
synthesizer with Window-eyes. As a braille terminal, it did not work.
3 Using Belkin bluetooth and its accompanying software, both remote
synthesizer and braille terminal works. I am not suggesting here that only
Belkin works. In fact, I am puzzled as to why the Microsoft bluetooth stack
is not working as it should where braille terminal is concerned.
3 I cannot comment about Jaws but if you are using Window-eyes, Bluesoleil
software that comes with some makes of bluetooth dongles might not be very
speech friendly. The software that came with my Belkin is fine.

Subject: [Braillenote] Bluetooth dongles and accessability
Hi folks,
I'm about to get a bluetooth dongle for my computer.
What I'm discovering is that some come with some sort of software that
gives
you a graphical interface for controling the bluetooth connections.
Does any one have any experience with these devices and the software to
run
them?
Are there drivers in windows xp to run bluetooth without having to use the
bundled graphical software for bluetooth devices?
Thanks!
Rusty
