Hi KC, I think I got my phone up and running with the BN right after you canceled your service. I don't know how much you remember from the setup process, but, by chance, do you know what phone number you typed into the BN's phone number field in the new connection configuration? If it was the number for Earthlink, that might have been your problem. The number has to be *99# for Cingular. I don't blame you at all for not wanting to deal with Cingular, they seem to run at the first mention of the BN or anything else that has to do with access technology. I just got the phone and set up the plan through Cingular, then got help from people on this list with setting up the rest. Now that I'm more familiar with how these things work, I'd be happy to work with you privately, if you want to try again. I love being able to go online anywhere with the BN, without having to be connected to a network.
