Have you tried doing any other type of resets, not including a standard
reset? Some of hte other sesets you may be able to perform are these: cold
reset, hard reset, and service reset. I will give the BT mPower command for
each of these below-
Cold Reset: press and hold dots 1, 2, 3, and reset, while still holding down
the keys until you hear a chime or something displays in Braille.
Hard Reset: Hold down dots 4, 5, 6, and press the reset button, while still
holding down the keys, until you hear a chime or something displays in
Braille.
Service Reset: Hold down the record button and the reset button at the same
time, until something displays or an audible tone, then release both record
button and reset button at the sametime.
I hope one of these resolve the issue you are currently facing.
P.S. if i were you I would go through the resets in sequential order from
regular reset, cold reset, hard reset, and service reset.

Once I reset, I can't get anywhere beyond that I'm unable to use this
version of keysoft or something like that. I'm totally locked out of the
system period. I hear a sound like you would hear when you empty a recycle
bin of a computer and nothing else.At 07:55 PM 4/25/2006, you wrote:
If you can reset, it should say "product key?" If it does, and you can
press O-chord, then K, then C, then Enter, you may be able to write it in.
Use all capital letters, so press chord U twice, and don't put the dashes
in.

Maurice Sloan sent me the product key.exe as a txt file that I
renamed as an exe file. I fear that I went passed the point of
no
return because I'm locked out of doing anything including going
to
the sd card. I can reset and get to the point where the system
tells
me that I can't use this version of keysoft. At 07:23 PM

what the product key is. Are you getting "product key""? If so,
when you get it, press O chord, then K, then C so that you can
write
in computer Braille. Press Enter, then exit. Again, you will
see
"product key?" Write it in, and press Enter.

Hi Stanley,
when the machine says "cannot run this version of keysoft"
it's usually
because it doesn't think you're allowed to - i.e. there's a
problem with
the key. The good news is that once you have the correct key,
you should
just be able to type it in the machine will be fine.
when we type in keys, they usually look like this :
CAAABA-JBKOEM-KOGEKP-PJAMFN-BJBA but I think for upgrades it
works
slightly differently. I guess the key should be available from
the
website somewhere, I can ask further, or I'm sure there are lots
of people
on this list who have upgraded recently ..
regards,
Andy.
