Stacey and list,

Should security inquire about your BN, tell them it is a PDA. If you need to, tell them it is a Braille Note M-power. They won't bother you. They seem to be more concerned about what is on a laptop PC and if you had that, they'd want you to boot it up so they could check a few things on it.

I'd also check out a couple of other things. Be sure to find out whether Guiding Eyes has a wireless network which can be used by students. Some places only have provisions for ethernet cables. If that is the case, you may need to get the ethernet cable for the BN. If you have one, take it with you. Dar wasn't able to go onto the wireless network at GDF to get her Email so she borrowed a phone line cord so she could use dial up. That has worked fine but the network would be much better. I'd take a phone line chord with you just in case. Also find out whether your ISP has provisions for dial up and find a number in the city where Guiding Eyes is located. You might be limited if your ISP doesn't have provisions for dial up.

Do take care!

Jim Aldrich

Subject: [Braillenote] Taking the mpower on trips

Hi all,
I'll be going to Guiding Eyes on May 30 to get my third dog. I'm planning to take my mpower and a couple of CF cards. Is there any problem with running them through security?
Thanks,
Stacey
