This may be a bit off topic, but how do you get the DVS tracks? I
tried, but the only software I have access to makes a .wmv file
in mono, which then has to be translated to .mp3 for space
saving. What do you use that works on your mPower?

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Taking the MPower on trips
Hello All:
First let me tell you that I travel about 14 times per year and
without a
doubt, my MPower travels with me EVERYWHERE!! I carry it either
on its own,
or in my regular tech bag with my laptop and other paraphernalia.
I have
not had any adverse effects on it or any of its components like
cards
(Compact flash or SD).
I usually place it in its own container like my laptop and send
it on
through the X-Ray. If they ask, which is not often, I simply
identify it as
a PDA. I've also heard a rumor that the BrailleNote is actually
listed on
their documentation as a blindness aid. I don't have any
verification of
this yet.
Quite honestly, I can't imagine traveling without it. I usually
will
download a book or newspaper just prior to takeoff from Bookshare
and always
have a couple of DVS movie sound tracks with me. Who needs
in-flight
entertainment anyway.
So, enjoy your MPowered or BrailleNoted travels and don't worry
about it.
hth
Jeff
