Chuck, I am just becoming more familiar with my Voice Note QT and after installing KS 7 I got the same message. I went to the options menu (Function O) and then Read with I. Then hit R. It chattered for 17 or so hours. I hit the space bar and it told me that it was recharging, and after about 3 hours it was at 76% and I had to unplug it as we were leaving town and I was taking it with me. It now gives the correct percent and is working as expected. I hope this helps. When I return I am going to tackle compact flash cards and wireless internet. I will probably have a lot of questions on that subject. Smile.

Subject: [Braillenote] battery gauge not accurate

I have been receiving the following message when checking the power status on my Braillenote mPower: "AC adapter off. The battery is not critical. The battery gauge needs recalibrating and is not accurate enough to give a percentage reading." I have done a manual recalibration but this did not seem to resolve this problem. If the AC adapter is plugged in I get the same message except it says "AC adapter on ..." Does anyone have any ideas or previous experiences with this message and how to resolve it so I can get the percentage again. I have reviewed the manual and it mentions to let the battery go down to critical and then recharge. I haven't done this yet as I assumed the manual recalibration would do this.
