Hi Carol and Brian and All, Carol, as I did see both of your previous messages, they are indeed making it to the list. But, maybe with conventions and all, HW just hasn't had a chance to respond. Although, wonder if maybe HW and their distributors have enough of these cards to see us through, should the need arise? Also, seeing as a lot of the newer PDA's seem to have the WiFi feature built in, I'm wondering just how many stand alone cards are being made these days? I know my Sandisk card seems to be going, as my wireless connection often seems quite fuzzy on both my PK and mPower, often then being able to last only a couple of minutes or so. However, fortunately, when I saw these being discontinued a while back, I bought a couple of extra cards, so sure hope they work. And, seeing as I used my present card for just about two years, using it on another device before my PK and mPower, I can't really complain about its not working properly now. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Brian Lingard" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Braillenote List" <[email protected]> Sent: Monday, July 17, 2006 5:30 AM Subject: [Braillenote] Missing Messages
Jacksonville Florida Dear Carol: Mail to the BrailleNote list is not previewed by Humanware staff before going out over the list, so your missing messages are probably due to Internet connectivity or other technical problems, not by anyone or thing trying to censor your posts. Yes with the Ambicom WIFI card due to be discontinued soon, it will definitely leave us and new BrailleNote family owners in the lurch when it is no longer available. I am still in Jacksonville, Florida and head home to Ottawa mid afternoon on Delta to Atlanta then Atlantic Southeast to Ottawa. Haven't slept much so far and have to be awake and coherent to phone Ottawa Para Transit at 7 AM when they open to make bookings for doctor appointments tomorrow. So as of Midnight tonight, the Ottawa Techie will be back in Ottawa. Brian -- No virus found in this outgoing message. Checked by AVG Free Edition.
