KC,

I thought that I would like to confirm that of what you are saying KC, since
I am the one who brought this discussion up. That is correct that both the
SanDisk and Ambicom manufactures are planning on discontinuing the wireless
cards that were once known to be compatible with the BrailleNote family of
products. I believe that SanDisk has already discontinue the wireless card
that they manufacture, and Ambicom is planning on doing the same in the near
future. This does not mean that all current owners of the SanDisk or the
Ambicom will not be able to use their cards once they are discontinued, the
current owners will still be able to use their wireless cards, but once
there are failures in the wireless cards, it will be virtually impossible to
get replacements nor to get them fix, once they are all discontinued that
is. This will be troublesome for new BrailleNote users, as they will not be
able to purchase the SanDisk wireless card, and will not be able to purchase
the Ambicom wireless card once it is discontinued, they will be left without
the ability to use the wireless feature on their BrailleNote, this will
remain the case until HumanWare finds an alternative wireless card that will
work with the BrailleNote family of products. I just thought that I would
clarify for those of us who are confused of the situation. I do hope now
that we are all on the same page.
Kevin
