Brendon,
Personally, I would say it depends on the battery condition. If the
temperature goes up, the battery compartment will control the electronical
access to it (meaning that it will shut down sometimes). Because I store my
recordings on my CompactFlash cards, I tend to have my cards plugged in.

I also keep my unit plugged in when at home.
I've also heard this ruins the battery, is this true?
