If the laptop recognizes the WiFi card, then
you can use it. Most laptops these days
comes with the built-in WiFi chip. If it
does not recognize it, then you can install
the driver that is included with the card.

You are using so-called static IP address.
The router should be
configured to assign dynamic IP address.
Alternatively, when you are
setting up a connection configuration, say
no at the prompt about obtain
IP address, then type the address like this:
192.168.0.25. Then you won't
have this problem.
