Just my thought: I would hate to not see replies. I learn a lot from monitoring other threads and seeing what other people say; I have gotten so much information about the BN from list members replying to other list members, such as technical specs and a full yet simple description of Support Info mode.

I know that the list has a lot of messages sometimes, but for me sorting through a lot of messages is far better than missing so much valuable information.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] Notetaker comparisons and list traffic

Hi Michele,

I don't mind how much you discuss how much better HumanWare
notetakers
are than the others! <grin

now, this applies to a lot of list messages recently, not any one
topic in
particular - some of the messages would have been better sent
privately than
to the list as a whole. Please consider whether your post adds
useful
information - simply agreeing with someone else is not usually
necessary,
unless there's some doubt about the issue. If you're asking a
question of
one person, then email them directly.

I get complaints every now and then from people who are unable to
cope with
the volume of list traffic, so please be considerate of them. It
has been
suggested that I change the list so that when you reply, it goes
to the
person who posts the message, rather than the list, which sounds
like a good
idea.

regards,

Andy.
