Yes, they checked to see if I had the money and charged my card for an
MPower upgrade a couple of years ago in august and did not perform the
transplant until January 2006.  It seems to be their practice.

Hello list:
When I attended the NFB convention in early July, I purchased a Victor
Reader Stream.  HumanWare advised me that the units wouldn't ship until late
August.  Since one of my co-workers is currently beta testing the Victor
Reader Stream's firmware, I know they are not ready to ship.
However, my credit card has been charged for the price of the Stream.  I do
not find this practice to be ethical or fair.
I just thought you should be aware of this in case it happens to you.
