I am so confused on how to get my spanish to work on the bn I also have a qt. I have tried everything I know to think of. I tried computer braille, qwerty which are the only options I think. There might be grade 2 also but there is no grade one for spanish like there is french. Why is that? I couldn't find anything in the tables of characters either. I tried 8 dot braille and I am just not getting anywhere with it.

Sorry, I thought you had a bt. I have never used a qt, so can't say what would happen. Give it a shot; you can always get back to the Options menu to change it back, and if things do go wrong just erase keysoft.ksd from the dictionaries folder of your flash disk and reset right from file manager (which you should use to erase it) otherwise the file will be recreated and will have no effect. Hope this makes sense; I am pretty tired and my brain is shot after doing a bunch of ftp and dos scripting (yes some people still use it! <smile>)

Have a great day,
Alex

Hi, Alex,

I've tog a QT keyboard and I only need to use foreign languages
occasionally. I agree the unicode tables are tedious, but if you
use a
particular character often enough, you can create a macro. ... I
guess I
could try 8-dot braille with the QT ... I wonder if the qt
commands would
be affected by it.

That works, but it is tedious; just use 8-dot. I just discovered
something: to make the next character only 8-dot, press
backspace-h and
you can use 8-dot on the next character you type. This avoids
having to
press space with all commands.
Have a great day,
Alex

Hi, David,

I think you'll have to insert the accents using the Unicode
Tables. I'm a
QT user, so I can't go through the steps with you, but a BT
lister could
help you.

Hello, List,
I am using Spanish computer braille with the Spanish language,
but I have
a problem with accents. I can't enter them correctly. For
instance, an
accented n is displayed in braille as dots 1-2-4-5-6, but when I
enter it,
it says 7. How do I resolve this problem, and will there be
grade 1 and 2
support for Spanish and Italian?
David
