Hi Eugene, Terry, Terri, Richard and all As I said before, whether individuals agree to UEBC or not, some countries have adopted the code and Humanware have included UEBC as a braille code to accommodate this. This thread has, as I feared, gotten off topic and is repeating a discussion that was conducted on the list a few months ago.
People may disagree and it is fine to do that, but I think the point has been made and we don't need to keep posting on this issue, unless someone has a question about UEBC on the BrailleNote. I've been using Braille for over 70 years and also refuse re-learning it because its gotten me through Columbia undergraduate, graduate and masters school and don't know what I would have done without it. Again, why change a good thing. eugene > ----- Original Message ----- >From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] >To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>, "Braillenote List" <[email protected] >Date sent: Mon, 24 Sep 2007 11:08:16 -0400 >Subject: RE: [Braillenote] RE: UEBC Usage >Good one Richard; >An option is fine but a standard, I say no.
