Hi Michael,

Two other things to go with the service reset already suggested.
When doing the service reset, I believe it is recommended to have the AC adapter connected. Also, it might be best not to have any cards in while doing such a reset.

Regards,
Steve.

Subject: [Braillenote] BrailleNote is unresponsive

Due to my significant need of the BrailleNote, I though I
would try asking this list as a last resort before seriously considering temporary alternatives.
Earlier today, I was using my BrailleNote mPower BT 32
(KeySoft 7.2 build 47) normally, but when my USB drive caused a "Card not recognized" error, as it seems to do sometimes, I reset it, as I would normally do. Instead of starting up and working properly like many times before, however, the machine gave the usual beep before dying. I tried resetting, with no keys, dots 1-2-3, dots 4-5-6, dots 4-5, and anything else I could come up with, but I am still receiving no response. I even plugged in the AC adapter in case it was a battery issue, but that did not solve anything.
Is there anything left for me to do other than to send it in
for repair? I have a considerable number of files on the Flash Disk, and I really can't afford to lose the data, or the machine. The machine is more important, however, and I am willing to try just about anything to get it to work again so that I do not find myself in a very bad position at school, with no means of writing.

Thank you very much,
Michael Chang
