The radio on the Braillenote is totally separate from internet radio. However, I think some not very clever talk from the sales staff at Humanware has led people to believe that the unit is good for internet radio when, in fact, it is not, as it does not have realplayer.

The FM radio on the unit is just like a Walkman, allowing reception of strong FM stations, provided the headphones are connected to form an aerial. You do not need to be connected to the internet for this, and it should be treated in the same way as if you had a small Walkman stuck to the side of the Braillenote.
