I'm thinking that sometimes after crashes you see a strange file in the root
directory and that I've known this to contain the contents of the clipboard
...
May be worth a look ...

Unless you've backed it up to another location then
there's absolutely no chance of retrieving the file. I
don't know if this is a limitation of either KeySoft or
Windows CE, but it's certainly not good and I wish it had
some kind of Recycle Bin. Sorry for the bad news.
