This method is true for all versions of keysoft after, I believe, 6.x. The
file keysoft.blk, in the flash disk's none folder, holds the contents of the
clipboard, after some seemingly random symbols. I imagine this is so the
clipboard does not take up ram and so it remains after resets.
Have a great day,
Alex

Using KS 8.20, I find that the last block copied to the clipboard can be
found in the "none" folder of the flash disk by telling KS to list all
files (not just all documents) and opening the file called "keysoft".
This file seems to hold only the material most recently sent to the
clipboard. So if you sent something there after sending your paper there,
the paper itself is not likely to be found in this way. But at least you
can find out what was last sent to the clipboard.

I'm thinking that sometimes after crashes you see a strange file
in the root
directory and that I've known this to contain the contents of the
clipboard
....
May be worth a look ...

Unless you've backed it up to another location then
there's absolutely no chance of retrieving the file. I
don't know if this is a limitation of either KeySoft or
Windows CE, but it's certainly not good and I wish it had
some kind of Recycle Bin. Sorry for the bad news.

Dear all,
I have just finished a long, important, and incredibly
time-consuming paper only to return to it to find it
deleted. The file was still there, but it was empty. The
paper was also in the clipboard, but something else has,
unfortunately, since been copied there. Is there any
possible way to retrieve this document? I would be
extremely appreciative of any help any of you can offer.
Thanks,
Lucy
