As stated, turn off bluetooth (it can sometimes turn on when you did not tell it to) and wifi. Also, using the radio/media player can drain the battery more quickly, and leaving both speech and braille on can as well. If you are only using speech, then turn off your braille display; if you only use braille and use headphones to silence speech, just turn speech off. HTH!

I have just become the proud and happy owner of a BT Apex. I have a question. I charged the battery completely, but it seems to run down awfully quickly. Is it because the batteries are replaceable? Is there anything I should be doing that I am not doing?

I am new on this list, having been a member a long time ago when I owned my Braillenote classic BT. I just love the Apex. thanks so much for your help.
