I am not an Apex owner, but I have a few thoughts.
1. What type of batteries does the Apex take? Hopefully, they would not be
low on capacity yet, but you never know.
2. I don't know how the Apex works with recalibration, but try running it
down all the way then charging it back up.
3. Do you use USB alot? There has been a good amount of discussion about USB
energy usage problems with the Apex, so this could be a factor.

Nicole

Subject: RE: [Braillenote] Battery life of the Apex
Hello Sherri and Joseph,
I recently received my new Apex and fully charged it up. Then I let it sit
turned off for about twenty four hours before turning it on and checking the
battery charge. On my old voice note it would lose about six percent of
charge
in twenty four hours but the Apex braille note lost about nine percent of
charge during the same time period. Next time I get a chance, I need to see
if
something is turned on from the factory that should be off. Otherwise, I
think
we may just be stuck with faster draining batteries.

Hi,
Long time no see... I think I remember you from another list - welcome to
this list and the Apex.
In terms of battery life, there are few factors:
* Apex is a lot faster than Classic. The faster a component means that it
draws more power.
* Unlike Classic, Apex has built-in Bluetooth and WiFi. Turning these off
when not using helps increase battery life, according to few users here.
That's all I can think of at the moment.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] Battery life of the Apex
I have just become the proud and happy owner of a BT Apex. I have a
question. I charged the battery completely, but it seems to run down
awfully
quickly. Is it because the batteries are replaceable? Is there anything I
should be doing that I am not doing?
I am new on this list, having been a member a long time ago when I owned my
Braillenote classic BT. I just love the Apex. thanks so much for your help.
