Hello Sherri and Joseph, I recently received my new Apex and fully charged it up. Then I let it sit turned off for about twenty four hours before turning it on and checking the battery charge. On my old voice note it would lose about six percent of charge in twenty four hours but the Apex braille note lost about nine percent of charge during the same time period. Next time I get a chance, I need to see if something is turned on from the factory that should be off. Otherwise, I think we may just be stuck with faster draining batteries. Richard Ehrler
