Well, I did the same as you, entered the last six digits of my serial number 
first, and then entered all twelve when I was told I needed all of them.  And, 
yes, I'm having the problem, too, so am waiting to hear back from HW.  I wonder 
if it would have made a difference if we had entered all twelve digits of the 
serial number on the first try?  Likely not, I guess.  But, well, I didn't have 
my Apex handy at the time, and the last six were what we were told would be 
needed and what I had available at the time.  Perhaps that's what I get for 
being too lazy to go and get my Apex and get the entire number in the first 
place.
