I'm with you, Peggy. I'm very annoyed, for several reasons:
1. I feel the wait for this software has been too long.
2. I'd have much rather seen Humanware promote a bit less and get the
software out more quickly to Apex owners who have spent thousands of dollars
to get the device.
3. Yay! The announcement finally comes out, I do what's required, and
ABSOLUTELY NOTHING HAPPENS, except that now I know I'm not validated, when
I've provided all of the correct information.
4. I did hear that re-licensing the apex would be required for the upgrade.
I was ready for that. It doesn't matter. My registration is just as invalid
as it would be if I hadn't known.
My wife's info also doesn't work, so she can't get hers either.
5. The upgrade email was sent out so late in the day that no one was there
to deal with the problem, especially for those of us on the West Coast, (and
yes, outside the U.S., too.)
6. This was done all wrong. We should have been able to validate before the
upgrade announcement so that we could immediately get the upgrade when it
was announced.
I'm not pleased at all. Humanware should have been monitoring the situation
until it was fixed.
This is deplorable service.
I'd maybe feel a small bit better if everyone was locked out of the upgrade,
but some people are more equal than others, (at least to the machine.)
Did they omit the data for a huge block of apex owners? What's the deal?
Granted, in the cosmic scheme of things, this is pretty small. But still,
this was not the simple licensing procedure Humanware said it would be in
the 9.1 presentation.
