Hi, sorry can't answer your question. It is nice to hear of someone else who has recieved that message. I have an Apex on it's first battary and I have been through times where for no reason it has said "battary removed AC adaptor on" then a few seconds later I get "battary inserted ac adapter off". However I have done nothing to the machine and the adaptor is not even in the same room as us. I talked to our local humanware person about this and he doesn't know why it is happening, it even did it when I was with him. he did suggest I upgrade my Apex to the latest keysoft.

This behaviour has stopped now even though I didn't upgrade.

Sorry this isn't much help,
From Sharon.
BN QT Apex and PK user.

Subject: [Braillenote] problem with battery

Dear all.

I placed a replacement battery on my braille note. But apparently braillenote apex does not recognize it. When I check battery status it shows "battery removed on AC adaptor" This happens even when ac adaptor is not plugged in. Does braillenote apex stores energy to use when there is no battery or power? Is there something that I should do to ensure I get the correct battery information?
