Are these smaller batteries the same thing that causes the BN to just stop working right in the middle of doing something? I've been using my Apex for the last couple of weeks while my Sense products are being repaired. And, on three separate occasions while I was using the Apex, it just stopped working. Then, to get it going again, I had to start to take out the battery and then put it back in and the Apex would then reset and start working.

The battery is quite small, but I am terrible at estimating dimensions
so I will not try. The problem is that the "bad" batteries are
fractionally smaller, so they seem to fit but then may not make solid contact with the section of the apex that carries current out of the battery. As soon as contact is lost, the apex shuts off, unless the
adapter is plugged in.

Well, that's bad if that is the case. Just curious, shouldn't
they all be the same size? How big is the battery in the apex?
I'd look but I have a heck of a time getting it out of the case,
mom has to help me with it.

The clock will indeed keep time for thirty days, but that is it.
The
power driving that is just enough for the clock, not the entire
machine. As soon as the battery is removed, if no adapter is
present,
the bn shuts down and will reset once a new battery is inserted.
Assuming you have done everything correctly, I would say this is
a
faulty battery from hw; we have heard reports of batteries being
too
small before, and you may have gotten one of them.

Hi, yes, the clock can retain time for up to 30 days. I assume
this means that the bn can be used with no battery during that
time, am I correct? Secondly, when you inserted the batery, did
you hear the reset beep that indicated a reset? Check that the
battery is inserted all the way.

 Dear all.

I placed a replacement battery on my braille note. But
apparently braillenote apex does not recognize it. When I check
battery status it shows "battery removed on AC adaptor" This
happens even when ac adaptor is not plugged in. Does
braillenote
apex stores energy to use when there is no battery or power? Is
there something that I should do to ensure I get the correct
 battery information?
