I was never able to get this to happen... A friend tried it on his and it
eventually worked but was very difficult to do... I think i'll forget about
pairing the apex for now...

The name change is for using the phone as a hotspot for web access. If
it is terminal functionality you're after, look at this page:

There is no need to change the name if you want to use the apex as a
