Indeed, that reset should not be done unless you know what you are
doing. It is not a way to solve lockups or other odd apex behavior, so
steer clear of it unless you have a good reason for doing it and are
very clear of exactly what the consequences are.

That said, it did the trick. Now, to second John: Christina, did you
ever get this working?
