Hi Michele, if your Apex is that new you shouldn't have to pay for a new adaptor they should replace it free of charge. You will have to pay to post it back to them but that should be all. Of course this means you will have to go without your machine for awhile but it is better then spending the money to replace the charger if it isn't your fault it is broken. If your not sure if it is the adaptor or the machine then you will have to post them both back but as I say if it isn't your fault it is broken they should fix it for no cost. For the first year it should be under warrantee.
