Hi all,

Can anybody help me? I have a cable modem here at home and I'm trying to
connect my BN to it so that I can use Keymail and Keyweb. I have a Socket
low power ethernet card in the BN. I don't have a home network with a
router etc. and so I cannot have the BN and PC connected simultaneously. I
had assumed that I could unplug the ethernet cable from my PC, connect it to
the BN and establish a connection, but so far I have been unsuccessful. Is
this supposed to be possible, or will I need to get a network?

I have created a directory of services and I think my network settings are
correct, but I will check this tomorrow with my ISP. This afternoon I
installed ActiveSync, created a partnership and ran bnipconfig.exe. It
appeared to retrieve the parameters from the PC and programme the BN
successfully, but to no avail.

I'm afraid I'm very ignorant when it comes to networking, so any suggestions
would be very welcome! I don't have a dial-up connection and this is my
first attempt at using Keymail and Keyweb.

Thanks,

Nicky
