Hi Steve,

I had a similar problem which is what brought up the question.  I later 
discovered that wen one unpacks that brf book file, one first has to set the 
braille note to grade two braille before he unpacks that brf file and tries to 
open it.  That beginning stuff wasn't the easiest to read with voice even then, 
but the text book of the file was legible, not perfect, not as good as voice in 
ascii text, but legible.  When I finished reading and exited, then I reset the 
braille to ascii the way I like to work with it in email.  I prefer writing in 
ascii online, just as I used to do for years with Braille and Speak online.  
Hope this helps.  Enjoy.  After you've turned on grade two braille, try opening 
that brf file again in that mybooks folder.  It does work eventually.  Hang in 
there, and give it another try.  The text might be in a ways.  The one I 
started reading last night started in the middle of 11.  No, I didn't change 
any options.  I left them alone.
