Hi, all. Be aware as Doug says, that it can take a while if you are
deleting lots of e-mail. He said 20 minutes for a few hundred messages. I
tried this recently and it is more like two hours or more. I deleted 250
messages and that is how long it took. I find that a real flaw in the bn if
you get a lot of messages. It probably would have been better if I had
removed each individual mail to the trash rather than marking them all
after reading and then deleting.
but if you are deleting lots of e-mail messages, be prepared to be very
very patient.

Hi. As you were deleting e-mail, there is a real possibility that you
will have corrupted databases, when you get the unit rebooted. How many
e-mails were you deleting? If it was in the hundreds of messages, the BN
can take twenty minutes or more to do the job, and with speech off, you
get no progress beeps.
The bad news is that you can't usually repair a corrupted database, so you
may lose all your e-mail, and possibly your address book as well. But, I
guess we'll jump off that bridge when we come to it.

Hi Everyone
Right now my BrailleNote has completely crashed.
I was deleting my email when the BrailleNote went so far then stopped
working all together. I was just using the braille display without any
speech. I have tried everything I can think of without success. I have
tried to reset the machine, and although it gives the usual reset sounds,
there is no braille display or speech coming up.
I am hoping that someone can help me here.
Regards
Peter
